One of the skills you need to be able to stop comfort eating

You're probably scared to stop if you know you eat for comfort. You might be asking,

"How will I cope with all the feelings that might come up?"

It's important to ease off comfort eating slowly and safely, one step at a time. And to start building an internal sense of how to regulate how you feel.

From working with 100s of clients, I know that learning to regulate your feelings is a powerful tool in giving up comfort eating.

Security comes from within. Once you know you can rely on an internal sense of comfort, you can face any challenges (including riding through a craving and facing painful emotions).

There are lots of ways to learn to be more comfortable with how you feel. I will share different ways in the future. For starters, here are eight ways to feel calm without turning to food.
